Jamison, I'm not posting this as a simplistic answer to your question "how can we stop it?".
Just some thoughts on taking action. When I see this stuff I need action items..
We need to be giving and supporting those who are laboring in Sudan. I know that sounds obvious, but it's just not happening like it needs to be. Funds are the limiting factor for many of of the organizations who are really making a difference in the individual lives of these people. There are a lot of organizations involved; I’m sure most are great. I know that Christian Solidarity International is making a difference in people’s lives in the name of Christ.
Also, recent legislation has been introduced to the US congress to create a commission focused on Sudanese human rights issues and human trafficking in the Sudan. Take the time to contact your representatives; let them know they need to be co-sponsoring the Sudan Act of 2006 (H.R. 5911)
